Art For The
SOUL
Art enables us to find ourselves and loose ourselves at the same time” by Thomas Merton
About the Author
Marley Midkiff
My name is Marley Midkifff and I am an artist from Richmond Virginia. I studied art at Virginia Commonwealth University and have loved working with children of all ages. Throughout My struggles in life, I learned that creating artwork can be a great way to relieve stress and anxiety. Growing up, it was so hard for me to communicate well with others. I was such a visual person and teaching had not quite been adjusted to help learners like me. I felt inferior to others because I saw the world so different, but it wasn’t inferiority, it was creativity! Explore the world and know that there is not always one answer to every problem or one color for every flower. I want to give everyone the chance to be talented and worthy. It took too long for me to find mine. Do not let this be you! I hope you enjoy it and please be on the lookout for more artwork to come!
